Kara (Laura Vandervoort) AKA Supergirl, will not be a regular cast member for Season 8.Season 8 will have a new villian, Doomsday. In the Comics, he killed Superman.
There will also be a new female villian. She is described by producers as "gorgeous...intelligent, brilliantly manipulative, and dangerously sinister." They say she will be "familiar" to fans.
Most believe Season 8 will be the final season for Smallville.
